Nasi Dagang and Kopi Hai Peng, at the car wash...

The Nasi Dagang party held in honour of Pok' Ku by his family was held at a..."car wash...?" That was the info that mokciknab gave...

When Dudae and me stepped into the area, we couldn't see any familiar faces. How could you when at introductions of bloggers like this, people go like..."so...what's your blog name?", instead of like, "hi, i'm ABC and here's my card..."

..oh well...we moved along found a table and made ourselves comfortable, didn't really piled our plates, but we assured the host that we really had our share of the Traders Rice.

Mokciknab later, at our table commented that we were so isolated from the rest and that's probably because we weren't famous enough and Dudae said something about shy eastern youth....

To Pok' Ku, congratulations again, and to the wonderful host, mokciknab and elisa, thank you for having us...not forgetting to the unsung here, saifuddin.
eeeerr...mokciknab?! where was the 'tepong pelita'?!

Met a neighbour of mine, she's into cats or something... ;-)

Losing a 'Friend'

I think I lost a friend. No, I am sure I lost a friend, a virtual friend. He won't answer to calls. Did not response to messages. Am a bit concerned. We knew each other only virtually.

Shall I file a missing persons report? Even though he's only known virtually?

Any one seen, met, in contact with him? Please let me know...

I'm a bit worried if ghosts or something from the underworld has got to or into him.

A lot of his friends are asking for his actual whereabouts. And I don't know how to answer, or what is the answer to him not being around, virtually.

Oh, he goes by the name of Joe Sewel...

Come back Joe...all is forgiven....

You all can get dirty in the mud, but you cannot play dirty...

I had the opportunity to be with a local youth community league that organise it's own football league catering for the neighbourhood kids.

Watching them play with utmost zeal and full of enthusiasm. I think you kinda miss that when you had to pay to see the local team play.

Depending on the evening weather, it can get wet at times. Being kids they need to be reminded at times, "You all can get dirty in the mud, but you cannot play dirty!!"

Watch this kids, the 2005 season is about to start!

Sympathies and Priorities.

When you are driving along some of the main roads in town these days you'll see all these banners/buntings hanging on to some thing. They'd be promoting, announcing or advertising something or other. Well and good, information dissemination. The other day, on one of the main thoroughfare in the Klang Valley, you could not miss the banners/bunting on the light poles in the middle of the road.

Each light pole will have two banners to face both traffic flows, making sure that motorists gets to read the messages on it.

There must be lots of them; it is a long thoroughfare.

The banners/bunting were proclaiming that how we Malaysians are grieving and sympathizing with the recent TSUNAMI victims, worldwide and as well the ones in Malaysia.

All and good, you show that you are concern and caring, the grieving and sympathizing, the feeling for the people bit, nice touch...

Each of them banner must have cost a little something in monetary terms. Multiply that with the number of banners on those light poles, which will definitely amount to a lot of monetary figures. Wouldn't the TSUNAMI disaster victims benefited more, had that money meant for them banners on the light pole, were to be channeled to the actual victims themselves instead?

Yeah, I'm floored...and I feel numb too...
